Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Cyber Software Engineer for the Signals Intelligence Mission Solutions Department. The role is based in Fairfax, VA, with a TS/SCI clearance including poly required by start date.

You will develop software to meet mission partner needs, write documentation, and guide technical direction within an Agile team. Responsibilities include collaboration, process improvement, and prioritizing work with partners.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance with poly to be considered.
• TS/SCI with poly eligibility must be in place by start date and stay through employment.
• Bachelor’s in Science with 5+ years (or Master’s 3 years; PhD 1 year)
• Proficient in C#, C++, or C; .NET Framework on Windows.
• Experience with Python or Ruby scripting.
• Agile software development experience and SDLC knowledge.
• Strong problem solving and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to meet mission partner requirements.
• Create user and developer documentation.
• Contribute to technical direction aligned with requirements and roadmap.
• Improve processes across development, testing, governance, and stakeholder interactions.
• Communicate status, blockers, and proposals to team and stakeholders.
• Prioritize development with mission partners.
• Define scope and resources for new requirements.
