Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Sr. Principal Cyber Software Engineer to join our team. The role involves building and maintaining complex software systems across multiple domains, with responsibilities spanning requirements analysis, debugging, and performance optimization.

Expect to work with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to system design. Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required; sites include Annapolis Junction MD, San Antonio TX, Aurora CO, and Carey NC.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• BS degree with 7+ years of software experience or HS with 11+ years.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Design and code software to add features and improve performance.
• Develop and review software and system documentation.
• Lead teams and mentor junior engineers when needed.
• Integrate software into new or modified systems and environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems per requirements.
• Review and test software components against design docs.
• Resolve software problem reports and optimize performance.
• Provide input on hardware/software tradeoffs and reuse of COTS/GOTS.
• Develop data queries and interfaces to databases.
• Collaborate across teams on system design and verification.
