Jobgether is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Containers, based in the United States for a remote, influential leadership role. You will define technical direction for a core container tech platform spanning images, pipelines, and registry infrastructure, while remaining hands-on.

You will mentor engineers, drive multi-team initiatives, and engage with open-source communities, with focus on secure AI-powered development, software supply chain security, and scalable deployments.

Formación

• 10+ years building and operating software used by paying customers.
• Experience leading large, multi-team initiatives in startups or high-growth environments.
• Deep Go architectural proficiency and ability to design services from scratch.
• Strong cloud/backend knowledge; experience with GCP or AWS.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools and code review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in distributed, remote-first teams.
• SBOMs/SLSA security experience is preferred.
• Open-source contributions to Wolfi, apko, melange, containerd, Kubernetes, or OCI specs preferred.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code tools.

Responsabilidades

• Define the technical vision for container products and related infrastructure.
• Lead multi-team initiatives from concept to production and adoption.
• Guide development of container image publishing, registry features, and adoption tooling.
• Improve build pipelines, signing, and distribution for secure images.
• Mentor Senior and Staff Engineers toward technical leadership.
• Represent the organization in open-source ecosystems and standards discussions.
• Ensure reliability through observability and incident response, with remote-first collaboration.
