Escape Velocity is seeking a Principal Combat Designer to craft and refine core combat mechanics for diverse characters in a fully remote setting. You will collaborate with design leadership to drive the combat vision for a robust online multiplayer experience and ensure alignment with art and engineering teams.

You will design expert-level weapons and abilities, advocate for player experience, and bring two shipped AAA titles as a track record.

Qualificações

• Two shipped AAA titles in mechanics design
• Expert knowledge of off-the-shelf design tools and engines
• Strong understanding of combat systems and player feedback
• Excellent communication with cross-disciplinary teams
• Ability to drive vision and advocate for players

Responsabilidades

• Design and craft expert-level combat mechanics, weapons and abilities.
• Collaborate with Design Director and Design Leads to execute combat design vision for online multiplayer.
• Coordinate with art and engineering to align mechanics with other features.
• Advocate for player experience in all design decisions.
