Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment Inc. is seeking a Principal Combat Designer to lead the development of engaging online combat for our diverse cast. You will shape core mechanics, weapons, and abilities to challenge players while keeping the experience fun and accessible.

You will collaborate closely with the Design Director and other leads, partnering with art and engineering to ensure synchronized feature development. A player-first approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two shipped AAA titles with combat design experience.
• Strong knowledge of combat design tools and game systems.
• Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Design Director and leads to drive combat design vision.
• Design and craft expert-level player combat mechanics, weapons and abilities.
• Coordinate with art and engineering to ensure alignment before feature development.
• Advocate for the player experience in all design decisions.
