Escape Velocity is seeking a Principal Combat Designer to lead the evolution of combat for our online multiplayer titles. You will craft advanced player mechanics, weapons and abilities to keep combat fun, challenging and engaging, while mentoring teammates across disciplines.

You will collaborate with the Design Director and other leads to drive the combat vision, advocate for the player, and ensure seamless integration with art and engineering. Remote work is supported globally.

Formación

• Two shipped AAA titles with mechanics design experience.
• Expert knowledge of off-the-shelf design tools and Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred).
• Strong creative and technical problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Design and craft expert-level player combat mechanics, weapons and abilities.
• Collaborate with Design Director and design leads to drive combat vision.
• Communicate with art and engineering leads to align on features.
