Job summary

AT&T in Bothell, WA is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale broadband device management platforms in cloud environments. You will own end-to-end architecture for TR-069 CWMP and TR-369 USP, collaborating with product, security, operations, and vendors to deliver scalable solutions.

You will apply AI to accelerate development, testing, and operations, and lead initiatives on AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability to ensure reliable experiences for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering for large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in broadband device management (TR-069 CWMP, TR-369 USP).
• Hands-on development in Java and/or Python.
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and support cloud-native platforms managing millions of devices.
• Develop scalable APIs and microservices with modern practices.
• Lead architecture for device management using TR-069 and TR-369.
• Operate highly available solutions on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Improve reliability via automation, observability, CI/CD, and testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call.
• Leverage AI to speed development, testing, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
