Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Principal Architect to drive cloud-based technology strategy and adoption across payments, onboarding, and self-service experiences.

You will influence architectural direction, guide technology decisions at the highest levels, and ensure scalable, secure solutions globally. You will collaborate with engineering and business leaders, shaping multi-year roadmaps and governance practices, including API standards and AI-enabled platforms.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in architecture concepts with 10+ years of experience.
• Experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability at enterprise scale.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages and software engineering principles.
• Experience applying enterprise AI capabilities within architecture workflows with data sensitivity awareness.

Responsibilities

• Advise cross-functional teams on technology selection to guide target-state architecture.
• Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy, priorities, and digital transformation goals.
• Apply enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within architecture and engineering workflows with validation.
• Establish AI-enabled patterns and governance across the SDLC and toolchain practices.
• Create scalable coding frameworks focusing on durability and reuse across teams.
• Develop secure production code and review code written by others.
• Serve as SME and contribute to technical methods in product development.
• Shape the digital transformation strategy for payments, onboarding, self-service, and developer platforms.
• Define and govern API standards, design, and integration patterns for scalable solutions.
