Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Principal Architect within the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology to drive cloud-based eCommerce payment solutions, including online checkout and merchant integrations. You will partner with business and technology leaders to shape the digital transformation of merchant acquiring capabilities, defining roadmaps, patterns, and APIs for scalable, secure platforms.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in architecture with 10+ years of applied experience.
• Experience delivering system design, app development, testing, and operations in eCommerce/payments.
• Deep knowledge of eCommerce payment flows and integration patterns.
• Experience leading product ownership or management.

Responsibilities

• Advise stakeholders on design approaches and target state architecture.
• Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with eCommerce payments strategy.
• Apply enterprise AI capabilities to architecture analysis and decisioning.
• Define strategy and roadmaps for eCommerce product go-to-market.
• Establish reusable, AI-enabled patterns and governance across SDLC.
• Participate in architecture governance and evaluate vendor options.
• Lead evaluations with vendors and internal teams for architectural designs.
