Job summary

Collins Aerospace, Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks a Principal Electrical/Computer Engineer to lead verification for high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs. You will architect testbenches, develop environments in SystemVerilog, and drive coverage plans for Mission Systems programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Experience developing and simulating RTL designs using VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Proven ability to design and execute verification testbenches for RTL blocks using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog.
• Knowledge of chip-level verification methodologies, including constrained-random testing and functional coverage.
• Experience with revision control systems like Git or Subversion.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and verification of advanced testbenches for digital ASICs and FPGAs.
• Architect and design verification environments using SystemVerilog with OVM/UVM.
• Create written test plans, test cases, and track code and functional coverage.
• Develop testbenches for RTL block verification using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
• Recommend tools and practices for continuous improvement in ASIC/FPGA verification flow.
• Provide technical leadership for project verification teams, including planning and status reporting.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits.
