Job summary

SentinelOne seeks a Principal Software Engineer, AI SIEM, to architect and optimize the AI-driven SIEM platform at scale. You will oversee data movement, analyst workflows, and detections across multiple pillars, ensuring cohesive integration and robust performance.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-team decisions, and shape the roadmap for secure, scalable AI-enabled security analytics across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed backend systems.
• Ability to reason about system boundaries, overlaps, and gaps at architecture level.
• Experience designing durable APIs and service contracts across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build a comprehensive mental model of the full SentinelOne system and identify architectural gaps.
• Lead cross-team architectural decisions affecting multiple pillars of the platform.
• Collaborate with pillar leads to align data, analytics, and detection engines.
• Prioritize and advocate high-leverage architectural investments to leadership.
• Prototype, review, and sometimes create connective tissue between pillars when needed.
• Establish cross-cutting technical standards for APIs, data contracts, and boundaries.
• Mentor senior engineers and represent system health in planning discussions.
• Communicate how gaps and redundancies translate into a roadmap.
