Job summary

Compeer Financial is seeking a Principal AI Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, and operation of enterprise AI platforms and tools. You will drive adoption of LLMs, agentic AI, vector search, and related technologies across portfolios, working with architecture, product, security, and data teams.

The role emphasizes responsible AI usage, governance, reliability, and scalable engineering across cloud-native environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and building AI applications and platforms using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, agent orchestration, and cloud AI services.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI platform engineering and adoption by building enterprise AI platforms, tools, services, and integrations for LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, agents, and related protocols.
• Establish AI operational excellence with reusable components, guardrails, monitoring, cost and performance mgmt, and governance alignment.
• Partner with Risk, Information Security, Legal, and Data Governance to translate requirements into access controls, data protection, and risk management.
• Own delivery of AI-enabled engineering initiatives from discovery through sustained operation, ensuring quality, security, reliability, and scalability.
