Job summary

Vouch, Inc. seeks a principal software architect to own the platform that governs agent-built software. This hybrid role is based in our Chicago office with in-person days three times weekly to foster collaboration.

You will lead scope and architecture across AI governance, bounded contexts, and DevOps at scale, collaborating with the CTO and cross-functional teams. Experience with domain-driven design, Terraform, AWS, and CI/CD is expected; prior startup-scale work is a plus.

Qualifications

• Shipped domain-driven design with bounded contexts and anti-corruption layers.
• Experience building agent-based or AI-assisted platforms.
• Familiarity with large-scale production systems and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform that governs agent-built software and its evolution.
• Make bounded contexts real across backend services and architecture.
• Develop and maintain tool contracts, gate logic, and CI/CD pipelines at scale.
• Define architectural standards and ADRs; collaborate with CTO and teams.
• Lead strategic design discussions and ensure testable, auditable systems.
