Job summary

Vouch is seeking a Principal Engineer to own and scale an agent-native platform that governs AI-driven insurance work. You will unify bounded contexts across the backend, implement strict architectural boundaries, and lead cross-functional teams in a high-growth startup environment.

You will drive durable, production-grade agent systems, tool contracts, and evaluation frameworks, collaborating closely with the CTO to shape the architecture and roadmap.

Qualifications

Shipped domain-driven design with bounded contexts.
Experience across AI, DevOps, and software architecture.
Familiar with production-grade TypeScript, Python, or Rust.
Experience in early-stage startups or high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

Own the platform that governs agent-built software.
Make bounded contexts real across the backend architecture.
Ship agentic systems with multi-week workflows and governance gates.
Make model behavior measurable with eval suites and traceability.
Run platform and delivery engineering at multi-account cloud scale (Terraform, GitOps).
Be the CTO's architecture thought partner and raise the bar.
