Job summary

AssistRx, Inc. seeks a Principal AI Engineer to shape the company’s AI strategy and lead production-grade AI across patient onboarding, benefits verification, prior authorization, and engagement workflows.

You will partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Client Services to deliver scalable, secure AI solutions, setting standards for evaluation, governance, and responsible AI. This role requires deep expertise in LLMs, retrieval, and agentic automation, with a track record

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 6+ years building and deploying AI/ML in production.
• Proven track record leading enterprise-scale AI programs.
• Expert programming in Python and enterprise languages.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year AI strategy and roadmaps.
• Lead design of enterprise-scale AI and ML solutions.
• Architect LLM applications with retrieval augmented generation and agent orchestration.
• Set patterns for agentic workflows and fallbacks.
• Guide evaluation of models and platforms, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Ensure responsible AI, privacy, and compliance across AI workloads.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional initiatives.
