Job summary

IMR Soft LLC in New York City is seeking a Staff/Principal AI Engineer to lead enterprise-scale agentic AI implementations for Fortune 500 clients. This is a hands-on role focused on designing and shipping autonomous, tool-calling AI systems that reason over enterprise context and operate at scale.

You will own data pipelines, backend services, the agent orchestration layer, evaluation harness, and the cloud infra they run on.

Qualifications

8–14 years of software engineering experience.
Hands-on Python development.
Experience with APIs, microservices, and system design.

Responsibilities

Design and build agentic systems: lead architecture and implementation of tool-calling agents.
Productionize LLM applications: retrieval pipelines, prompt synthesis, validation, and self-correction loops.
Own the full stack: data pipelines, backend services, orchestration, and distributed compute.
Engineer for reliability and governance: validators, policy checks, deterministic fallbacks, and rollbacks.
Optimize for cost and latency: improve token efficiency and response time.
Codebase ownership: develop reusable Python/SQL components with scalability in mind.
Cloud integration: deploy on AWS/Azure/GCP with robust CI/CD.
Cross-functional collaboration: work with product owners, data scientists, and SMEs.
Mentoring and leadership: set engineering standards and share knowledge.
