Job summary

Redesign Health is seeking a Principal Applied AI Engineer to architect and ship agentic workflows powering the firm’s decision making, portfolio, and talent decisions. You will turn messy, high-judgment processes into scalable, self-learning AI systems that amplify impact for founders, investors, and healthcare partners.

You will work with senior technologists and investors, own critical AI initiatives, and may hire and manage engineers as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a senior technical role at a venture-backed startup, frontier AI lab, or investment firm.
• Expert in Python and/or TypeScript with large codebases.
• Experience shipping agentic systems and harnesses with durable, long-horizon capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Redefine healthcare investing as a technical discipline by designing and shipping AI systems for venture knowledge and decision-making.
• Build durable, long-horizon agents with context engineering and self-learning loops.
• Publish/open-source when appropriate and share learnings across portfolio and partners.
• Raise the technical bar across the company by shipping reusable patterns and educating teams on AI-native workflows.
