Job summary

Redesign Health, Inc. is seeking a Principal Applied AI Engineer to turn messy business workflows into scalable, self-learning AI systems. You will own critical decision workflows, work with a global team of former founders and researchers, and push frontier AI research into real-world healthcare impact.

You will ship with founder-level ownership and investor-level judgment, collaborating with investment, talent, and development teams to elevate technical capabilities across the firm.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a senior technical role at a venture-backed startup, frontier AI lab, or investment firm.
• Expert in Python and/or TypeScript with a track record of shipping production-grade code.
• Experience building and operating agent harnesses, tools, and long-horizon AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship AI systems to unlock healthtech venture knowledge and support investment, talent, and development teams.
• Build durable agents with context engineering and self-improving feedback loops; publish/open-source as appropriate.
• Raise the technical bar across the company by sharing patterns and teaching teams how to build in an AI-native world.
• Source, assess, and support exceptional founders to build transformative health technology companies.
