Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) is hiring a Principal Software Engineer focused on Emerging Technology & AI. This role is a remote position within the United States, with responsibilities spanning prototyping, architecture, and enterprise-grade experimentation.

You will lead hands-on technical work, mentor engineers, define design artifacts, and drive technology choices to scale successful AI experiments across delivery teams. Strong collaboration with Enterprise Architecture is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency with cloud-native services and related architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers in emerging tech and AI experiments.
• Design prototypes, proofs of concept, and pilots for evaluation.
• Evaluate platforms, APIs, and data sources; translate findings into scalable solutions.
