Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) seeks a Principal Software Engineer specializing in Emerging Technology and AI to lead hands-on technical work remotely. You will design rapid prototypes, proofs of concept, and pilots, and translate successful concepts into scalable solutions for delivery teams.

You will mentor engineers, influence technology choices, and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to drive secure, reusable patterns across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technology, or related field, or equivalent combo with 10+ years of experience.
10+ years software development experience.
Experience with cloud-native services and platforms (AWS).
Proficiency with Java, Python, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of prototypes, pilots, and PoCs across diverse technologies.
Mentor engineers and drive advanced technical execution while guiding architecture decisions.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure secure, scalable platform choices and reusable patterns.
Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
