Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer specializing in Emerging Technology & AI for a remote US-based role. You will lead hands-on technical work, design rapid prototypes, and translate concepts into scalable solutions for delivery teams.

You will mentor engineers, shape architectural decisions, and partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure governance and security across experiments and pilots.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technology, or related field with 10+ years of progressive software experience.
• Proven track record in AI, GenAI, and emerging tech in enterprise settings.
• Experience mentoring engineers and guiding architecture decisions.
• Strong collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design of prototypes, pilots, and experiments across diverse tech.
• Build working software and integrations to validate feasibility and reduce risk.
• Provide guidance on architecture patterns and platform choices.
• Mentor engineers and drive knowledge sharing across teams.
• Document decisions and create reusable patterns and standards.
