Positron AI seeks a Principal ASIC Architect to define the future of AI inference hardware. You will collaborate across architecture, software, ML, systems, and silicon implementation to design next-generation AI accelerators for frontier models, balancing mathematical depth, ML trends, and practical silicon considerations.

You will lead architectural exploration across transformers, memory architectures, and interconnects, while partnering with compiler and ML teams to align hardware direction

Qualificações

• 15+ years of experience in ASIC architecture.
• Deep expertise in AI accelerator design and high-performance SoCs.
• Hands-on experience building performance models for memory systems and interconnects.
• Strong hardware/software co-design ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Architectural Exploration across transformer models, MoE, sparse models, and long-context inference.
• Performance Modeling: develop analytical models and simulation frameworks; evaluate architectural tradeoffs.
• Hardware/Software Co-Design: collaborate with compiler, runtime, system software, firmware, ASIC engineering, and ML research teams.
• ASIC Specification & Roadmap: develop architecture documents and define subsystem interfaces; guide product roadmap.
• Industry Awareness: track LLMs, research papers, and competitors to keep Positron ahead.
• AI-Enabled Engineering: use AI to accelerate research, analysis, and documentation.
