Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal / Senior Principal Engineer Aeronautical - Aircraft Ground and Flight Test for onsite work in Melbourne, FL. The role involves leadership and hands-on work across flight test activities and data reporting.

The candidate will assist in test plan development, monitor flights in real-time, conduct debriefs, and coordinate with scheduling, maintenance, and telemetry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline required with 5+ years of related experience OR Master’s with 3+ years OR STEM PhD with 1+ year
• Ability to transfer and maintain final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD in-scope or Continuous Evaluation)
• Experience in test planning, execution, flight operations, and/or generating test artifacts and reports
• Experience generating technical documents and working with software/data processing tools

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of test plans/test cards
• Participate in pre- and post-flight briefs/debriefs
• Monitor flights in real-time and support safety and parameter limits
• Plan and conduct test missions as test conductor and lead test team
• Support post-flight data processing and reporting
• Generate data releases and reports for Company and Customer engineering
