Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA, seeks an Aeronautical Engineer - Subsystems Project Engineer (level 2/3) to lead multiple B2 Modifications projects from concept through delivery. On-site role requiring a STEM degree and project management focus, with a focus on schedule, cost, and risk management.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, prepare presentations for customers and senior leadership, and leverage data to drive informed decisions in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in STEM with related experience as specified.
• Experience with project management tools and willingness to learn new tools.
• Understanding of the Engineering Life cycle process.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret clearance within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of multiple Modifications projects from concept to delivery.
• Engage in proposal efforts to develop clear requirements for the execution team.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and escalate when needed.
• Own project schedules with milestones, dependencies, and resources.
• Develop and maintain schedule trackers and status dashboards.
• Monitor budgets and support cost forecasting and variance analysis.
• Coordinate change management and document impacts on cost and schedule.
• Coordinate cross-functional work across engineering and manufacturing.
• Deliver concise presentations on progress to customers and leadership.
