Job summary

Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Sr Principal Engineer Electrical in Palmdale, CA. The role leads cross-functional design and integration of avionics power systems with robust testing and troubleshooting capabilities.

Required are a STEM degree with multiple years of related experience and an active Top Secret clearance; familiarity with schematics, power distribution, and Teamcenter/CPLM is valued. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in STEM with 8+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 6 years, or Ph.D. with 4 years.
Active US Government Top Secret clearance (or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and/or test-stand block diagrams.
Knowledge of power distribution and redundancy.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional design and integration of avionics power systems, redundancy strategies, and harness/test-stand development.
Interpret schematics and wiring to troubleshoot in the lab and deliver robust solutions.
Research, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for various applications.
