Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA, seeks an Aeronautics Engineer – Responsible RE to lead as Responsible Engineer for an electrical subsystem, guiding design, integration, verification, and sustainment across IPTs. On-site role; remote work not available.

The position requires a STEM degree with related engineering experience, excellent technical communication, and the ability to obtain SAP access and an active clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with related engineering experience.
• Excellent technical communication skills with experience producing requirements and verification artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Responsible Engineer for an electrical subsystem across design, integration, verification, and sustainment.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to software and hardware teams; develop solutions to complex problems.
• Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, ICDs, requirements specifications, and verification artifacts.
• Lead integration and verification activities, including test plans and flight/bench tests.
• Coordinate with systems engineering, test, software, mechanical, and supplier teams; present status to leadership.
