Job summary
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is seeking a Principal Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to deliver technical data support and innovative solutions for Actuarial financial data systems and Marts. You will lead in business requirements, data definitions, and financial analyses for plan divisions.
The role requires 8+ years of related experience or 10+ if no degree, with strong SQL, data marts, and cloud skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree; 8+ years experience.
- In lieu of degree, 10+ years experience in related field.
- 5+ years SQL development/analysis experience.
- 5+ years’ experience with medical claims and Pharmacy/medical rebate data; Facets is a plus.
- Experience leading project teams; Snowflake and AWS cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop data solutions: data extracts, reports, data marts, and analyses.
- Own full development lifecycle; perform data refreshes, validations, and QA for executive reporting.
- Manage Actuarial Systems Data Marts; ensure auditable granular data for audits.
- Lead cross-functional teams; translate business requirements and validate specs.
- Provide liaison with business areas during development and implementation.
- Mentor peers and junior staff; provide technical leadership.
