Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Principal Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to lead technical data support for Actuarial financial data systems and data marts. You will define business requirements, develop complex trends and financial analyses, and coordinate cross‑functional teams to implement robust data solutions.

The role emphasizes leading data definitions, testing, and documentation, with a focus on auditable financial detail and quarterly/year-end reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (or 10+ years of related experience in lieu of degree).
• 8+ years of experience in actuarial data or related fields preferred.
• Experience with data marts, data extracts, and complex data analyses.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex decision support data solutions, data extracts, reports, data marts, and/or analysis across the full development life cycle.
• Perform monthly data refreshes, validations, automations, and QA checks for executive financial reporting.
• Lead maintenance and optimization of Actuarial Systems Data Marts and ensure data audibility for audits.
• Coordinate across application areas to define data requirements and translate into technical specs and business rules.
