The Fresh Market in Cary, NC is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our team. You will cut, trim, and prepare meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards, assist with inventory, pricing, and merchandising, and ensure freshness and quality for guests.

This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a passion for excellence, with flexible scheduling including weekends. Certification within 90 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ads to help guests find items.
• Handle, slice, and trim meat and seafood while ensuring quality per standards.
• Monitor temperatures of cases, spillovers, and storage areas.
• Enforce safety and department practices for receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries.
• Ensure food safety compliance per policy and law.
