Job summary

The Fresh Market in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Meat Cutter who will manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards. You will assist with inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, and other operations demanding attention to detail to ensure an impeccable guest and team experience.

You will handle slicing and trimming prime meat, monitor case temperatures, enforce safety and freshness, and collaborate across departments to help guests find meal solutions.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products/weekly ad items and assist guests in finding products and meal solutions.
• Handle, slice, cut, and trim meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards while managing quality product levels.
• Monitor temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas to ensure freshness and safety.
• Enforce department practices for receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries to maintain freshness and quality.
