Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to cut, trim, and prepare meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards, assist with department inventory, pricing integrity, and merchandising, and help curate an impeccable guest experience in a fast-paced store environment.

You will maintain product knowledge, handle and slice prime cuts, monitor case temperatures, ensure freshness by overseeing deliveries, and follow safety and food safety policies in every shift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards and assist with department inventory and merchandising.
• Handle, slice, and trim prime meat and seafood products and manage quality according to standards.
• Monitor the temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas.
• Enforce and follow practices for receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries to ensure freshness and quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety and food safety policies.
