Job summary

The Fresh Market in Jacksonville is seeking a Meat Cutter to manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards, while supporting inventory, pricing integrity, and merchandising to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

You will ensure product quality, monitor case temperatures, assist with receiving and stocking, and uphold safety and food safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Meat Cutter must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items across the store and assist guests in finding products and meal solutions
• Handle, slice, cut, and trim prime and premium meat and seafood products while maintaining quality per TF M standards
• Monitor the temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas
• Enforce department practices regarding receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries to ensure freshness and quality
• Ensure adherence to safety and food safety requirements per TF M policies and applicable laws
