Job summary

Oregon National Primate Research Center (ONPRC) at OHSU invites applications for a Veterinary Pathologist at the assistant or associate professor level within the Pathology Services Unit. This role provides diagnostic services, post mortem examinations, and pathology support for ONPRC research studies.

The successful candidate will contribute to training, publications, and external collaborations while communicating clearly with research staff.

Qualifications

• D.V.M./V.M.D. degree from AVMA-listed school.
• Three years diagnostic pathology experience.
• ACVP or ECVP eligibility in Anatomic Pathology.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and oral).
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross and microscopic post mortem evaluation of NHP and other laboratory animals.</br>Provide pathology support for research studies, data interpretation, and manuscript preparation.
• Communicate findings clearly with research staff and clinicians.
• Support training for pre- and post-graduate veterinarians and residents.
• Participate in teaching and dissemination through publications and presentations.
• Contribute to tissue distribution programs and study design as needed.
• Fulfill other duties to support the Unit's mission.
