Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University is seeking a veterinarian to provide clinical care for a large nonhuman primate colony at ONPRC under the supervision of the Resources & Logistics Unit. Responsibilities include health surveillance, preventive medicine programs, and medical protocol development.

The role requires an AVMA-accredited D.V.M./V.M.D. degree, US licensure, and the ability to work both independently and in a team while documenting care experiences accurately.

Qualifications

• D.V.M./V.M.D. degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Licensed in the US to practice veterinary medicine.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong documentation and data-record keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary care for a large nonhuman primate colony under supervisor direction.
• Manage health surveillance, preventative medicine programs, and medical protocols.
• Contribute to training and education of researchers and staff; participate in on-call rotations.
