Job summary

Oregon National Primate Research Center (ONPRC) seeks a Veterinary Research/Health Technician 1 to assist with research support, clinical health care, and husbandry for nonhuman primates. The role emphasizes routine animal care and research tasks under supervision.

The position offers regular full-time hours, with a training schedule from 7:30am–4:00pm and evening shifts as needed. Experience with animal care and a valid driver's license are required, along with a strong service-oriented

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Six months experience providing paid or voluntary care for animals.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License and ability to drive department vehicles on and off campus.

Responsibilities

• Supports research efforts and clinical health care for nonhuman primates.
• Performs routine animal husbandry and maintains sanitation of care areas.
• Records daily observations and health data; reports findings as required.
