Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University (ONPRC) seeks an Animal Care Technician to support nonhuman primate and rodent care and related research tasks at the Oregon National Primate Research Center. You will follow approved protocols, assist with dosing, sample collection, and health observations under supervision.

Regular duties include feeding, cleaning, data entry, and coordinating with investigators; weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required. A valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Six months of animal care experience.
• Valid Driver's License; ability to drive university vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide research support and animal care for primates and rodents.
• Follow complex research protocols and perform technical procedures as required.
• Observe animals for health and welfare and report abnormalities to veterinary staff.
• Perform routine husbandry tasks: feeding, cleaning, inventory, and data entry.
