Job summary

American Family Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team in Virginia. The APP will care for patients within scope of training, collaborating with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high satisfaction.

Responsibilities include detailed histories, comprehensive assessments, ordering necessary studies, and initiating appropriate treatments or referrals. Strong communication and independent work ethic are essential, with a DOT certification required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with patients, staff and families.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Active and current PA or NP licensure with applicable board certification.
• DOT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive histories and review records.
• Develop medical assessments and order labs, imaging, and other studies.
• Initiate emergency measures and stabilize patients as needed.
• Interpret data to guide patient management and treatment.
• Provide patient and family education on health care and prevention.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
