Job summary

American Family Care Hilltop is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver primary and urgent care services. The APP will work collaboratively with a team to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction in a walk-in setting.

The role requires board certification (ANCC/AANP/NCCPA) with active PA/NP licensure in Virginia, and the ability to manage diverse clinical cases, including emergencies, while providing patient education and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certified (ER/UC experience preferred)
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state; DEA and state-controlled substance certificate as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently
• DOT Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed health histories and develop medical assessments with appropriate tests
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals
• Institute emergency measures and stabilization in emergencies (cardiac arrest, shock, etc.)
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine status, management, and treatment
• Provide instructions and guidance on health care and health care promotion to patients and families
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
