Job summary

Council for Relationships is seeking a Primary Therapist to provide direct counseling to individuals, couples, and families. The role can be virtual or on-site, located in Philadelphia, PA, and involves intake assessments, treatment planning, and coordinating care with internal and external providers.

You will manage a caseload, document accurately, and participate in case consultations and interdisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
• Experience with treatment planning, assessment, goal setting, and ongoing review.
• Knowledge of social work practices: resource linkage, advocacy, systems-based intervention.
• Competence with chemical dependency, screening, referral, and integrated support.
• Experience in case management and coordinating services with multidisciplinary providers.
• Knowledge of dual diagnosis and integrated mental health and substance use treatment.
• Strong communication, documentation, and professional boundaries.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments and develop treatment plans for individuals, couples, and families.
• Coordinate care with internal and external providers and maintain clinical documentation.
