Job summary

Vera Whole Health, based in Georgia, is seeking a physician (MD/DO) to provide evidence-based primary care at two market centers, East Point and West Marietta. You’ll manage 10–15 patients daily with a care team, focusing on prevention and comprehensive disease management within the Vera medical home model.

The role requires 3+ years of primary care, board certification, and an active license with DEA. Onsite lab/pharmacy and collaboration with a health coach support holistic patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Residency, Family Medicine preferred
• Current Board Certification by ABMS (ABFM/ABIM) or AOA
• Minimum 3 years of primary care experience
• Current, valid, and unrestricted medical license and valid DEA number
• Vaccination documentation (Hep B) or immunity proof
• Team-based care experience
• Experience with EMR systems, Athena preferred
• Experience in coding and documentation, including Medicare Advantage and HCC
• Experience with Google Workspace

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based primary care to 10–15 patients per day with a focus on prevention
• Partner with patient and care team to develop biopsychosocial care plans
• Coordinate with onsite health coach and care team to deliver whole-person care
• Perform comprehensive health histories, physicals, testing, and prescribing
• Lead and participate in team meetings and quality initiatives
• Ensure care aligns with Vera medical home model and contractual needs
• Rotate with providers to cover after-hours shifts
• Participate in organizational committees to optimize processes
• Aim to improve health outcomes, engagement, and satisfaction
