Job summary

Vera Whole Health is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our Tacoma team, delivering whole-person care in a value-based model. You will see 10 to 15 patients daily, supported by a care team and on-site health coach, focusing on preventive care and chronic disease management.

Collaborate with physicians and staff in a fast-paced setting, participate in meetings and quality improvement, and help drive outcomes for a diverse patient population across the Vera network.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Residency, Family Medicine preferred.
• Board certification by ABMS (ABFM/ABIM) or AOA.
• Minimum 3 years of primary care experience.
• Documentation of a negative TB test within 12 months.
• Current, valid medical license and DEA number.
• Team-based care experience.
• Experience with EMR systems (Athena preferred).
• Experience with coding and documentation (Medicare Advantage and HCC).
• Experience with Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based primary care to 10–15 patients per day, focusing on prevention, chronic and acute care needs, and disease/case management.
• Partner with the patient and care team, including an onsite Whole Health Coach, to develop biopsychosocial care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive exams, diagnostics, and prescribe medications with onsite lab/pharmacy access.
• Participate in annual whole health evaluations and health promotion activities.
• Provide clinical leadership in meetings, prioritization, and change management.
• Meet customer contractual needs with the care team; rotate after-hours coverage.
• Engage in committees and organizational activities to optimize processes.
