Job summary

Vera Whole Health, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Decatur primary care clinic. This full-time role supports providers, assists with procedures, and helps patient flow in a collaborative team focused on high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has MA-C certification, 2+ years in primary or urgent care, and strong phlebotomy, injections, and EKG skills. EMR experience and CPR/BLS are required, with a commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MA program.
• 2+ years MA experience in primary or urgent care.
• CPR/BLS certification and negative TB test within 90 days.
• EMR documentation experience.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and perform point-of-care testing.
• Administer immunizations, injections, and oral medications.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and process lab specimens.
• Prepare exam rooms using sterile technique.
• Support front-office tasks (phones, scheduling, registration).
• Document accurately in the EMR and follow HIPAA/OSHA/CLIA standards.
