Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a physician to join VHA primary care, delivering comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care within a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.

The role emphasizes leadership in patient care programs, medical decision-making, teaching of PA students, residents, and medical students, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm, with CME and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have MD/DO degree from an approved school and full, unrestricted license to practice medicine.
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States.
• Completion of an approved residency program leading to board eligibility.
• Board certification preferred for faculty status.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of individuals and plan interventions.
• Facilitate delivery of primary, acute and chronic health care.
• Supervise mid-level practitioners as assigned.
• Educate PA students, residents, medical students and interns.
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.
