Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; graduation from a Medical Assistant program.
• Eligible for certification by either the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Health career Association (NHA) or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) within 12 months of hire.
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or NRCMA required within 12 months of hire; and current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in administration of patient care in assigned clinical areas.
• Assist with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatments, and dressing changes.
• Perform general administrative duties in accordance with standards and policies.
• Operate and monitor EMR and chart documentation.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and policy.
