Memorial Hermann seeks a Medical Assistant to assist providers in patient care across assigned clinical areas, supporting examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, and dressing changes under physician supervision.

The position requires a Medical Assistant program graduation or externship completion, with certification eligibility within 12 months. You will must maintain excellent communication, manage patient flow, and work a flexible schedule including evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; graduation from a Medical Assistant program or externship.
• Eligible for AMT or AAMA certification within 12 months of hire.
• Licenses/Certifications: RMA or CMA or CCMA or NRCMA; CPR/BLS within 30 days; maintain credentials.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures; perform related tasks.
• Take patient vital signs and record in EMR.
• Administer medications as directed and perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Conduct hearing, vision, breathing and EKG testing; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and compliance standards and assist in scheduling and patient flow.
