Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Dover, NH seeks a full-time Medical Assistant for a 40-hour weekly schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm). The role supports both clinical and non-clinical patient services under providers, with emphasis on vitals, patient flow, and collaboration with physicians and nurses.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, an MA credential preferred, and 1–2 years direct MA or medical field experience; BLS/NC would be a plus, with Epic experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.
• BLS or National Certification preferred.
• Epic experience; ambulatory/outpatient and primary care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist junior Medical Assistants with day-to-day questions and onboarding.
• Show patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, obtain vitals and record in medical record.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions; provide educational materials.
• Perform general office duties (phones, dictation, insurance forms); liaise with departments and advocate for patients.
• Collect blood, tissue or other specimens; log and prep for testing; phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates.
• Provide immunizations as certified or with supervision.
• Improve departmental quality initiatives (e.g., two patient identifiers and hand hygiene).
