Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our Danvers practice onsite, working 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

This role pairs 1:1 with a provider and contributes to a collaborative, patient-centered team. Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent; MA certification preferred; 1–2 years direct MA experience; BLS and national MA certification preferred; Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist junior Medical Assistants with onboarding and training.
• Show patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, and record vitals.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions; organize educational materials.
• Perform general office duties and liaise with other departments to advocate for patients.
• Collect blood or tissue samples, log them, and prepare for testing; perform phlebotomy if qualified.
• Maintain inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates.
