Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (NCM) preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1–2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and record in the medical record.
• Prepare examination rooms and necessary equipment for providers; explain procedures and instructions to patients.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect blood samples as competency allows.
• Assist with administrative tasks and coordinate with departments to ensure efficient care.
