Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1–2 years required.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Ambulatory/Outpatient experience.
• Primary Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Show patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients to obtain medical information, measure vital signs, and record data.
• Explain procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions to patients and provide educational materials.
• Perform general office duties, answer phones, take dictation, and complete insurance forms.
• Collect blood and other specimens; log and prepare them for testing; phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain immunization inventory and check expiration dates; provide immunizations as applicable.
• Support quality initiatives and patient safety with correct identifiers and hand hygiene.
