Job summary

Duke Primary Care–Leesville in Durham, NC is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Leesville location. Open 8 am–5 pm, with responsibilities including administering medications, direct patient care, and follow-up per the care plan.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved or accredited Practical Nurse program.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed by the doctor and maintain records.
• Provide direct care to patients under supervision of a nurse or doctor.
• Follow the doctor's orders and nursing care plan for patient care.
• Report patient responses to care to a nurse for evaluation and adjustments to the care plan.
• Assist other healthcare staff in delivering patient care.
• Help doctors and nurses with diagnostic procedures.
• Assess nursing care, patient responses, and prioritize nursing tasks.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Identify and assist in improving clinical and operational performance.
